Wheel Sensor Failure. Looking For advice.

Hi guys,
I have a 2002 Mini cooper S. My EML light has been coming on for several weeks in between shifts on lower gears. It was throwing the P0642 code and after doing some searching on this site, I found an article with the exact code and symptoms. It appeared it was a faulty wheels sensor. I was advised to check the passenger front side first as it get worn by the crank pulley. I decided to just order the fronts and replace both. Easy enough job... OR NOT. I replaced the sensor on the front passenger side with no problem but when I started the car, a new trinity of lights came on: ABS, Traction Control and the air pressure light. I immediately thought the new sensor was faulty since I had gone with an aftermarket brand so I decided to throw the OEM one back in and send the parts I ordered back and get new OEM replacements. To my dismay, the three lights came on even after putting the OEM sensor back in. I am at a loss and have no Idea what the problem could be. Trying to fix one problem lead to another. Any suggestions? I could really use some advice on this.

Bump

Checked all the fuses tied into the wheels sensor and they're all fine. Cleaned out the hole the sensor goes in extremely well. Still getting the ABS, tire pressure and traction control lights...

Does sound like the Tri-fecta of lights for wheel speed sensor.

#34-52-6-756-384 PULSE GENERATOR -is correct part no., for fronts.

In the last round of install(s), Did you clear the code ? It won't do it by itself.

OBD tool won't reset the wheel sensor fault code. You need BMW specific interface.

I had the exact same problem and just did replace mine a few month back. Had to clear the code. Look for INPA interface for BMW, R50 is covered.

Not at all expensive to purchase the cable but setting it up on PC is PITA. No one seem to know these things exist around here in Mini forums.

I am in Boston if near by I can help out. I have the software installed on my laptop and got it to work to a point that I can delete BMW/Mini stored codes.
