Removing shifting unit/switching unit out of 5spd tranny.

Can someone give a read over on your FSM on how to remove the switching unit out of 2006 5 spd tranny. It is held by 3 T40 torx bolts bolts?

I remove them but there is something binding inside as far as I can tell.

Please help. I really want to get this out tonight.

It is #10 on the diagram.

TIA

Figured it out. Rotate the arm that is attached to the cable that moves the shifter up and down and then pull. It will pull out.

Fixed the sticky shifter issue. I don't know how much better it has gotten over stock as I have never driven a new mini but the shifter finds neutral on its own.

Lubed the shifting unit from the inside. In case you guys are wondering.
