OK, a while ago some of you remember me talking about how I got my 17" Perelli run-flat tire fixed. And then I had my tires rotated and balanced. The balancing turned out to be a good thing becuase 3 of 4 tires were out of balance. We'll anyhow I've had no problems with the patch/plug they repaired my tire with. None what so ever. That drywall screw was close to the sidewall so it was touch-and-go as to whether or not it could be repaired. It was repaired an now 5,000 miles later, I got a spike of some sort in the same tire (yes, originally it was on the FR but being rotated it's now on the RR)! It's not leaking any air, but I know I'm going to have it fixed soon. Time for my rotation anyhow so might-as-well get it repaired with the rotation. But, DAMN!, that tire is CURSED!

I have a cursed run-flat too! My right rear tire looses air. No good reason at all for this. Nobody can find a leak. It just looses air and every time I get gas I have to get air too! It is driving me nuts! I might have to get a new tire or something because that light that indicates a low tire (and looks like a butt I might add) comes on almost daily.

I have three 17" Goodyear run-flats sitting in my basement. I picked up a nail in the side wall 10 days after getting my MCS. I replaced all my tires with non run-flat Yoko's. At $275 for a new Goodyear I couldn't see buying a new one when a full set of Yoko's were around $450 and have three times the mileage rating.

got rid of the heavy 17" rims and the dreadful runflats....got lighter 16" alloys and yokos.....you can't believe how much better the MCS handles with lighter wheels at the corners and lighter stickier performance tires...also noticed slightly more ummph from a standing start.....Tire Rack is way to go as I tried to negotiate with Discount Tire here in Phoenix, but they weren't that accomodating.....
