Test drove a 2025 Countryman. Asking here as same experience might be on F66.

Step in car, start engine, infotainment greeting on screen is MINI login (like email login). Sales person said voice commands and other features won't work with out a login. And creating the login starts a 30 day free usage, so they don't want to do that to deprieve new buyer time from that period. Basically I can't test key features.

Also mention of a subscription. Still trying to get what is and is not covered by the subscription. Different sites (this one too) have details of "augmented reality navigation and some connected thing", another 2018 article here says "mini connect and apple car play". I don't have a cost for this subscription either.

SO.... On 2025 Countryman and likely F66,

1. What infortainment/other features require a login?

2. What features require a subscription?

3. How much is a subscription?

4. Can subscription be negotiated off, or prepaid?
