Play Video/ Movie from Factory Nav Screen

Hi, I just purchased a country all4 :) Super excited about this car, I would like to know if the factory Navigation is capable of watching Video or Movie ? I understand the unit will most likely won't allow to play video in motion/ while the car is moving. But if my car is park, will I be able to watch video/ movie from the navi ?

If so what format of video does it require?

Thank you

-Eddie

Thanks! I tried to search for the answer last night, but it didn't really help. As I don't have an iphone, i am an Andriod user and I understand the Mini connect doesn't support andriod as much as iphone. Thats why i would like to know if there's a way to play video/movie from my usb flash drive since thats what I am using right now for music.

I tried to put in a .mp4 video file into my usb flash drive, but it won't play the file in my mini. I would like to know if anyone success to play video file from their usb flash drive. My car was at park with the hand brake on.

Thank you

-Eddie

Usb flash drive to play videos can only be on the newer Fx mini equipped cars that has the new NBT navigation headunit..It has to be coded to allow it to play videos off the usb port Xvideo or Xvcd format....The older unit Champ2 can't play movie videos from a usb stick..Only way to play videos is from a jailbroken iphone..

Do you have the new upgraded Navigation unit??

No you don't have the newest headunit. They came out late 2014. You have champ2 which cannot play usb movies via usb stick

I just picked up a 2014 last week. I checked the manufacturer date just for kicks when I bought the car, and it said it was made in April 2014.

Do you know if I have the updated headunit?

If you have the mood light in the center ring and it glows different colors then you have the new headunit, otherwise you have the older one like mine.
