Alas, nothing to sell you, just gotta chime in since I've seemingly been following you down the roof rack trail...man, I hope you find some luck...

I too have a r53 and am interested in a roof rack, but was concerned about look and noise. Sounds like you're going the full rally route with a bull bar, so maybe no concern on the looks. Please post up a build/photos, I'm curious where you end up...

Thanks Iamfarha!! I have owned my MINI since 2006 (its an 05) and I have enough power...for now. I think I want to start rallying it! I will keep everyone posted.
