Thinking of selling 2004 mini, where can i get price info
Not sure if KBB is informative. Just looking to see how much my car would fetch. Nothing really wrong with the car, just don't drive as much....
Maybe the dealer is a place to get info? Not sure, never sold a car before!

edmunds.com is referenced as a good price source (KBB is bad). Supposedly closer to what a used car dealer would try to sell at, and closer to what you'd get for trade-in
You could go to CarMax and see what they'd offer you as a trade-in. I haven't done it, but supposedly it's easy and low pressure.
You can look at some of the listings here, and try to see what sold at what price, and what hasn't sold and its listed price.
You can go to craigslist or autotrader and see what they're being listed for.
You can go to ebay->ebay motors (left side)->mini
then click "completed listings" under search options and hit "show items"
The ones that come up red didn't sell, the ones in green did.
To narrow to 2004 you can add that to your search terms.

If you're really serious, go to www.galves.com. Galves it what the dealer will use to get an initial value of your car. Its information is regional and is updated with actual prices from transactions in your area. You can get access for a 24-hour time period for $5.00.

You can also research MINI's in your year and miles on Cars.com to see what the going retail is here, and around the nation.
I once sold a car out east where it's value was higher, got more then I would have in Iowa and saved the buyer cash even after he came and drove it back. Back then gas was not $3 a gallon, but you get the idea.
I have also had great luck selling cars on Ebay, 14 so far in 8 years.
