R50/53 Wheel Question: Can you...
The only restriction that I am aware of is with the late 06s, where MINI switched to a 14mm lug bolt, instead of the 12mm. Even this is do-able, with a lug conversion kit.
Another possible hiccup might be trying 15" MC wheels over a JCW brake kit.

That's ok, the MINI wheels will all work as far as the lug bolt holes are concerned. The problem would be a lot of the after market rims.
Ditto what John said - all of the stock MINI wheels seem to have 16mm holes for the lug bolts, so it doesn't matter if your car has the 14mm bolts or the older 12mm bolts.
I did go with TSW's 14mm-to-12mm conversion lugs on my car when I bought my autocross wheels, because there are a LOT of wheels out there that won't work with the new 14mm bolts.
