Hi I know I heard of a blitzsafe that lets you use the CD changer as well as you MP3 player. Anyone know where I can order this model (dont wanna order direct from Blitzsafe). Also anyone know how you select between the disc changer and the MP3 blitzsafe since they are both using the disc changer input? Thanks in advance.

 

The BlitzSafe is for Alpine changers only -- not BMW changers. If you have the BMW changer and you want to add an Aux input, just get an '03 or newer MINI and the Aux input cable

If you have an '02 and don't want to trade it in just yet, you can get the BlitzSafe Aux-only interface (allows no CD changer of ANY kind) or you can get the BlitzSafe Aux+Alpine interface. The Aux+Alpine can be switched between Aux and Alpine with a quick toggle of the track up/down buttons. The are sold at Crutchfield, Rspeed, and many other places.

 

I thought the BMW changer was an alpine changer?

 

It is, but it's been hacked so that you can't use regular Alpine equipment with it. Unfortunately, every car manufacturer in the world shares this shady practice.
