hey,

ive seen the blitzsafe adapter for MP3 players were u plug ur mp3 player into the rear audio section of the car... but has anyone seen an actual mp3 hookup in which u plug in ur mp3 player and u can control it through ur radio and see the titles and do all that stuff instead of having to mess around w/ the player?? i know i have seen this somewhere.... and ive seen the new MINI armrest w/ a telephone, so mayb someone can do this w/ an MP3 player?? cuz instead of buyin a MP3/WMA cd changer id rather buy the new Archos Mulitmedia player and a new head unit....

o ya, here is that MP3 player.... made by Archos check it out... it is the coolest thing ever

ARCHOS Jukebox Multimedia Portable Entertainment Center with Camera & Photo Modules

now that thing is sweet and would be even cooler if it would hook up directly into the cooper!

There's no way to do that with any portable player nor are there any promising developments along those lines. I don't even think any portables with text output capabilities exist.

The only way you'll get text on the HU from a hard drive MP3 player is with a Kenwood Keg (See my install). I used the factory HU so I don't get text but if you couple the keg with any Kenwood HU you'll get text. An alternative is to wire the Keg to the AUX input of your HU and control it with the KCA-R70FM.
