HELP: 8mm HC spacers + longer bolts (locks)

hey guys, i'm in need of your expertise and help once again~!

i'll be needing spacers + longer bolts for my new wheels+brake setup and i have trouble gather my thoughts and options.

I'm hoping for your opinions and places where i can purchase them?

1.) i'm in need of 8mm spacers to clear the stoptech BBK, and i'm trying to find 8mm spacers that are hub centric at the same time. i found some for some AUDI's but it doesn't have the same center bore as the mini, i asssume i just need hubcentric rings to make it fit?

2.) so according to H&R spacers guide, i will be needing 35mm wheel bolts to use with the spacers. and i will be needing bolts lock as well (wheel locks), can you guys recommand any? i'm thinking of purchasing 2 sets of locks, just in case..haha

hope this HELP~! post is understandable and clear. i really do need your help guys, thanks~!

unfortunately, their spacers are not hub centric, so that only leaves me 2mm of hub "lip" to hang my wheels on, sounds kinda too little and risky to me.

any other help out there?thanks

You've discovered why 8mm is not popular for MINI. It's an awkward width given the height of the flange on the MINI hub, and if you think about it, it's really not possible to build an 8mm spacer with an integrated hubcentric flange. You'll need to jump up to the next size of spacers (15mm), or get new wheels that can clear the BBK.

Will 15mm spacers cause rubbing problems on an MCS?

Something that was pointed out to me, that I hadn't thought of beforehand, is that the center bore on your wheels is likely chamferred - about 2mm in the case of my R99s. That wipes out the last 2mm of hub with an 8mm spacer. I decided to go with 5mm spacers, and I do still get a nice positive *fit* of wheel center bore to hub.

I'd suggest sticking with 5mm if you can get the needed clearance with them, or jump up to hubcentric 15mm spacers that have their own hub centers.

I didn't want to get longer bolts that were just standard hex heads, so I converted to (longer) studs and a set of spline-drive nuts.
