I've had the opportunity to drive many great cars and have owned a few well set up Porsche 944 turbos and Subarus. I never thought I'd fall for a 1.6 liter front wheel drive car, of course until I had the opportunity to drive a Cooper S a couple years back. This year I finally had the opportunity to seriously start looking for a new car and ended up finding a very clean 02 Cooper S with only 30k miles. Since I picked it up on Friday I've practically been sleeping in the car as I can't seem to stop driving it. Impressed with how well it is set up from the factory, but of course I can't wait to make a few parts for it (and buy a few I can't make). I've been fortunate to be a part of great communities/forums with my Porsches and Subarus, and it looks like NAM is just as supportive and tight-knit. Can't wait to meet other enthusiastic owners in California and up in the Pacific NW (my wife and I are moving to Boise).

Thanks! Technically already moved... my wife is working there and I split my time between there, So Cal, and occasionally Portland. We still have family in So Cal and I still have a lot of photography clients in the area. It's nice to be in Boise though where rush hour really is only an hour if that

CFMINI - Wish I could make it, but l I have bookings this weekend. Heading out in a few minutes for a shoot. Maybe next month if I'm in So Cal.

89AKurt - lol I wish I had time to experiment with automotive photography... I found a few great places up in Boise I'll have to get back to at some point to a MINI shoot. Maybe some other Boise area MINIs could be there as well...
