Linings for door & e-brake storage areas?

Has anyone made linings for their doors, cup holders, e-brake storage area? If so, what material did you use, how did you make the template, etc. I hate that these areas are hard plastic and things rattle/slide around. I've found a rubber cubby 'organizer' but can't find aftermarket liners.

When searching around the house for something I could use I found these silicone pot holders which seem to be the prefect material (almost sticky).

Thoughts?

I've thought of using something like this for the e-Brake area, in black:

I've got some around here somewhere in cream, but that'd look really odd.
