R56 aftermarket wheel issues...

Slim(ish) pickings: I'm having a time finding after-market wheels for my R56. Looking for 17"'s between 13-19lbs to fit a set of Bridgestones RE050a's on. Tirerack advises that all wheels in the configurator suited for 06' MSC Works post-May build will fit. Personally I like the BBS RV-F and the OZ Forgiatti but BBS is in Chapter 11 & the OZ forged wheel is discontinued. Seems kind of silly to buy a $$ wheel that could not be replaced if necessary. I Don't want to be stuck like I was in my previous MCS with SSR Comps * no way to replace one.
-Who else makes wheels at this time for R56 fitment? Any Mini wheels that are light weight?
-I hope reducing some of the upsprung rotational mess via wheels/tires will help lighten-up the steering and reduce the gyroscopic effect & torque-steer.
-Might just get out the Dremel tool and grind away 6 lbs on th OE wheels here & there!:impatient

Several posters have successfully enlarged the holes on aftermarket wheels to get them to fit with the new 14mm bolts. Another option is to get Texas Speedwerks' 14mm-to-12mm conversion studs. I have these on my car, in preparation for getting some different wheels in the next few months. With the 12mm studs, a whole world of lightweight 4X100 wheels becomes available.

IIRC, there have been reports that some of the old wheels don't need to be changed to fit the 14mm studs. They already have large enough holes. It would be worthwhile asking for exact hole dia. on wheels that look interesting.

If you're talking about factory 17" MINI wheels, I'm almost certain there aren't any that will will come in under your 19-pound limit. I think the Web-Spokes are among the lightest of the factory offerings, and they're around 23 pounds each.
