I didn't spot it in Fri or Sat national print version that I get delivered.

There's nothing new, but the reviews in the Times are interesting because they're not geared at the hard-core car folks who read car magazines or spend endless hours on car websites.

 

Odd how that reviewer was able to get 40 MPG when all of the reported figures I've come across here put combined city/highway driving at around 30 MPG.

 

He does say, "On a rare stint of relatively relaxed driving — cruising at 65 m.p.h. — the Cooper S delivered 40 m.p.g., easily surpassing the government rating." I'm guessing he was reading the computer and this was the highest reading he got.

 

I thought he did a very nice job

 

I've seen 44 on the display while cruising at 65.

 

LOL - love the back seat "prisoners" remark. Fortunately, I drive in the front seat.
