What size belt for the JCW pulley?

Does anyone know which belt to put on the JCW pulley. I want to order that size without paying the $78 dealer price.

Gates or Gatorback part numbers would be great too!

Or you can get any 15% belt from MINI aftermarket shops... (Alta, Helix, DetroitTuned, MyMINI, MINIMania, and many more)

i would stick with a factory jcw belt. people seem to have less problems with throwing belts etc... plus the gatorbacks can be noisey. there is no draw back to using a factory jcw belt.

again this is just my opinon... im sure many others will jump all over me for suggesting the jcw belt and that they have had no problems with other belts... but all you have to do is hit the search button to see otherwise...

Don't most people use the OEM Cooper S belt for aftermarket 15% pulleys? If so, then why would you need a different belt for the JCW pulley at 14.2%? Am I missing something?

I've re-used the stock belts on three different low-mileage cars when installing 15% pullies, and haven't had a problem - no slipping, and the tensioner is still well within its normal range of travel.

That being said, if I were putting a pulley on a car with more miles, or replacing an old belt on a car with a JCW pulley, I'd probably go with the JCW belt if I were buying a new belt anyway.

I bought a belt from Mini in Nsahville last month. They had to order it, and it cost about $40. Once I got it out of the fancy oversized BMW box, I saw it was just a gates belt, part number 6PK 1374. (in white letters)

I am remembering that number. Can't help but think they cost half that much at auto zone!
