It seemed curious to Uber that no-one has ever engineered -A HIGH PERFORMANCE RIM for high horse power mini's that love to unleash all that horsepower on THE STREET....Street surfaces combined with extremely agressive performance driving requires very different components within the rim than a rim designed for smooth track use. So, we did just that.....................
This rim has been designed by Uber, and engineered by our specialist in Munich utilizing new state of the art software. Our street performance rim is the result, which is designed to accept over 300 horse power and survive the extreme irregularities encountered on street tarmac. Let's face it, there are potholes the size of small swimming pools out there, which you will find every time when you least need to.
Rims running on performance mini coopers bend due to lip and wall design. We have now been granted a patent pending notification on this new design we are now releasing. The engineer determined the 17x7 size would be the optimum size for our new rim, with a 42 offset, and of course meticulously manufactured to clear big brake kits without the need for spacers. Spacers are not an option when you are at 200 horse or more, not safe, not safe...
Designed by Uber, so you know the look is great, and engineered by Dieter in Munich, so you can rest assured, this rim can take whatever you can dish out, survive the perriles of the street tarmac and live to race another day, while looking great....We have tested this rim on stock Cooper s models to Palo Uber edition Mini's pushing 289 horse power, without a single bend.

Mike, got your call via voice mail, but no voice mail on your end...These rims are not forged, but are high pressure fed alloys, most of the rims you mentioned are all gravity fed, unlike ours. The high pressure fed system results in a much lighter and well balance wheel. It is primaraly a cost factor for most rim manufacturer's, as gravity fed is a much less costly endeavor.
When you go to spin balance, high-pressure fed alloys need hardly any weights, the next step up from here is the forged method, which, once again a" much " more expensive method of manufacturing. Hope this helps...bryce
