Any reccomendations on how to pack and who to ship wheels with cross-country?

When I got a set from Tire Rack the sides were protected with layers of cardboard which I can recreate, but they also had those packing straps holding the package together. Are those available anywhere?

 

I've used tape before and did not have any problems.
Just keep wrapping until you think is enough then wrap it once more.
