Austin to Charleston in March! (xpost)
I posted this on the Charleston club's thread, but it's pretty darn slow. I just got my MINI, Rocket J (Rocky to his friends), on Monday, and I just planned my first road trip in him! Here is the original post:
Coming to visit in March and I would love to meet up with y'all and have a drink or something while I'm there. My dates are March 9-15 or 16.
I'm very excited--Charleston's my hometown, and I'm driving my brand new Rocky from Austin! I expect we'll finish the break-in somewhere on this road trip.
And hey, my dad told me long ago that SC police were special, that you had to drive the speed limit. Is that still true? I should have a friend's fuzz buster.
looking forward to seeing Charleston and meeting y'all,
k

S.C. Has unmarked SUV'S Pick Up Trucks and Motorcycles along with camero's and Chevy's and some new dodge's. I-26 probably get away with 10 over 1-95 15-19 over in some locations. Back roads better have a birddog! Luke retired Trucker and Mini Nut! March 10th come by Hendrick in Charlotte we all hang out there.
Eep. Thanks for the tips. Camaros for cops? Wowsers! What a fat lot of wasted taxpayer money.
Don't think I'll be making it further north than Charleston, though thanks for the invite. I was in Asheville once and loved it, though I also remember driving white-knuckled through the mountains as I drove back to my wee college in Indiana. I hear the Dragon is like that. Maybe Rocky could handle it better than I can, LOL.
Thanks again!
