We live in Albuquerque, NM and I've taken my mini about 500 miles North, South, East and West!

I'd love to take my mini on a road trip to visit my family in Washington, DC but I'd have to take all my vacation time off work at the same time

What's the farthest you've gone? Do you recommend a very long trip in a mini?

 

Farthest I've done is Palm City, FL to Alexandria, VA (about 950 miles). It was great! I had a passenger, and with the back seats folded down, I was able to fit all of my luggage, and a refrigerated cooler for drinks!

I would love to do a cross country drive in my MINI if I had the time.

Farthest for me so far is Hot Spring, Arkansas and back. I drove 2,000 miles in 5 days. Earlier this month I drove to Jonesboro, AR and back with my boyfriend, our two big dogs, and our luggage. lol.

 

Houston to Key West 1407 miles
Houston to Orlando (x2) 985 each time
of course there is the trip from Orlando to Memphis to pick up MMTS all the way to Jersey City, NJ and back to Orlando (wih both mine and my wife's MINIs)....
that of course is just the start. My 05 has 38K and my wife's 06 has 20K

Motor On!!!

 

This fall when my 06 MC was but 4 weeks old my wife and I drove from Toronto through the New England states out to Nova Scotias Cape Breton Island to see the Cabot Trail. Round trip about 5,000 Km. Drove lots of twisty roads, and had everything from 72 degrees to a snow storm in Lake Placid. Car was fantastic! Saw all of 5 Minis outside of Ontario. Got tons of looks and a few people came up to us to talk about the car, even a State Trooper.

 

I took delivery of my second MINI, Wicked Wanda, (an all-Jet Black 2003 MCS), on 4/4/03 and left 4/11/03 on a cross-country road trip. Clocked 10,000+ miles in 6 weeks. Drove through 23 states, attended the first MINIs On The Dragon (MOTD) meet, visited MINI friends along the way that I met online here. I've taken her on a springtime road trip every year, with MOTD being the centerpiece of each journey. I'll be leaving in early April for this year's adventure. Roadtripping in the MINI is fantastic!
