11.75 Wilwood brake noise...
11.75 Wilwood brake noise...
I just (today) installed the 11.75 kit. So far my driving has just been up and down a couple exits of the highway starting a bedding procedure and thats about it...maybe 3 miles.
There is very noticible noise, a hushed sort of thumping, that happens when the brakes are applied moderately hard. Based on experiences with slotted rotors in the past I am pretty certain that the thumping I hear is the slots in the rotor engaging the pads under pressure.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a solution?
Since this car sees the street 90 percent of the time as a daily driver, this noise is not acceptable.
Any help appreciated.

IF NOT...
check your calipers and make sure your rotor is not hitting the caliper
Yes. The rotor is centered in the caliper and spins freely. The sound is definitely from application of the brake at a moderate to heavy amount. I am pretty certain it is the slots in the rotors. I just wonder if this noise is ever going to get better.
