I just realized this morning that my smilies aren't animated. Anyone know why?

Right click on your Internet Explorer icon, click on Properties, Advanced, and then scroll down and see if 'Play animations in web pages' is checked. if not, check it, and then click Apply, and OK.

Many more people than use Firefox, that's for sure.

Firefox is great... but IE7 has gone a long way to catching up. I'm not saying it's "as good", but seriously... the difference between them is nowhere near as great as it was before, even with Firefox 2 out now.

Thanks for trying Erick. I'm using Mozilla at the moment. I do have a copy of Firefox but I haven't migrated my bookmarks over because I'm waiting for a new pc. They work in Firefox - there must be a similar switch I'm not finding in Mozilla.

Yep, I updated to IE 7 a couple of months agp and am impressed with the increased speed and ease of use.
