Yes, the Great Denver to Dragon caravan v 3.0 is coming thru Indiana this year!! Here is our official agenda:

The Great Denver to Omaha to St Louis to Columbus, IN to Knoxville to Dragon Caravan and Roadfood Tour is announced! This is our 3rd Annual trip from Denver to the Dragon, and here is what is happening. We are planning to make the entire trip without access to Interstate Highways, ie avoiding them whereever possible. We are also in search of this country's best Roadfood, some of which we are likely to find:

• Leave Denver on Saturday, April 28th to Omaha, NE (and to visit the NEW MINI dealer there on Saturday night) Pork Tenderloin sammiches along the way.
• Sunday, April 29th - Omaha to St Louis via Kansas City. Italian Dinner with StL MINIs on the Hill...
• Monday, April 30th - St Louis to Columbus, IN via Bloomington and Nashville, IN. Dinner in Nashville, IN. Meetup with local Columbus MINIs and DW from Ohio (yes, a repeat trip too) and as many MINICCI friends as we can find. Pork Tenderloin sammiches along the way.
• Tuesday, May 1st - Leave Columbus, IN early AM towards Knoxville, via Corbin, KY and the Colonel Sanders Cafe. Overnight in south suburban Knoxville (Maryville).
• Wednesday, May 2nd - Tour of the Smokies on the way into Fontana. Mid afternoon arrival, and a quick run of the Dragon. Checkin at Fontana
• Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - Normal MOTD activities.
• Sunday, May 6th - Melancholy return home. 2 days on the Interstate thru StL and KC.

We would love to find some MINICCI friends who are ready to head down on Tuesday, and who would like to join our caravan. Please post here if you would like to join and we will keep you informed as to our plans.

Maybe, just maybe - a change in plans.

Because of the short drive from StL to Columbus, we are seriously thinking about routing up north a bit and going to the Speedway Museum on the way to Columbus. Yes, I know it is not on the way, but we can make it such.

While you folks may get there anytime, we westerners do not. Just a nice scenic stop along the way.

Anyway, we would still love to have as many MINICCI members as possible leave with us on Tuesday AM towards Knoxville and the Smokies....

for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum on the afternoon of Monday, April 30th. We leave StL about 8 am, backroads to Indy so arrival is early afternoon. A quick tour, then off to Columbus for dinner. Anyone and everyone is invited....

On Tuesday, leaving for the the Dragon, backroads again......
