Yep, that officially SUX !

Did you turn in a claim to your insurance ? Are you going to the AWW for liability damages ?

Good move. Your insurance company just might call that an at-fault accident. Most or them view hitting objects in the road as a collision accident, unless there are some very unusual circumstances. They feel you should be able to avoid them normally. I know... not always the case !!

Good luck with the AWW and the repairs !

So you or someone else actually saw the AWW leave this plate improperly positioned? If you did not then I wish you luck with any lawsuit.

Sorry to hear about the damage.

Dam that sucks. One of our members came out to their car today to find some jack *** had pried off their MINI badges and removed the S from the Cooper S logo on the back.

Apparently this happens often and they are used to it... the rep from AWW said as long as I do not inflate the claim, I stand a good chance of getting paid..... i was behind an SUV and never saw it until too late and did not realize how far the plate was sticking up.....
