fyi - when I got my new safety check awhile back ago, the service station inspector said that the safety sticker plate that attaches next to the rear license plate will no longer be acceptable. he said it has been ruled, as too close to the license plate numbers (month number may be mistaken as part of the license).

the plate type that attaches under the bumper is still acceptable (or the standard method of the stickers directly on the bumper)

They might be low or out of stock. Hopefully not.

 

just got my safety inspection done, yes a bit late as i missed the early saturday closing that most stations had...but got it done today and didn't have a problem with my plate's location, which is just on the passenger side of the license plate.

mine was done in east honolulu side. not sure about the other stations in the area...

 

Got my safety sticker today- the holder was a non issue.Good for another year.
