$750 for 2 wheels and an alignment?

Have my car in the shop for some issues and one of them was to look at my tires. They just called and said one of the front tires was low on air and they recommend I have the front two replaced soon. The guy quoted me 750 for two run flats and alignment? I'm sure this can be done cheaper elsewhere right?

That's a good price uhhhhhh if the tires are 14K gold plated I figure 2 tires should run around $400ish so they want another $350 to mount, balance, & align . I would buy the tires from Tire Rack & then get the rest done at a local tire shop. Tire Rack also has a list of recommended installers in most areas

Hmm

Unless I'm reading something wrong Costco has 4 tires for a 05 Mini for 133 each, including installation. But they don't look like run flats.

I really recommend that you go to Tire Rack. They have a wide selection of performance & all season tires. You can do a search by size, brand, or performance characteristics that you are looking for. Shipping is very reasonable. I got my Goodyears delivered from Tire Rack for less than I my local Goodyear could sell them to me for You can also see reviews from regular folks of the tires they sell. I dunno if they have the Michelins but it's worth a look

p.s...the Michelin's are more at Tire Rack but you can at least read the reviews. They seem to have gotten pretty high marks.
