I just bought an '06 MINI with factory speakers and headunit but added an IPod adapter. I'm looking to replace the speakers with Focal speakers but can't seem to find a site that tells me which Focals will fit my MINI. It's odd too that different sites conflict on what fits the MINI. For example, I was looking at Polk Audio speakers and one site says the db 690 will fit and another site states that they don't fit - go figure. Anyway, I'm considering the Focal 130CA for the front and Focal 690 CA for the rear. Anyone have knowledge whether these will fit?

You can try crutchfield.com . I don't think they stock focal speakers but they do allow you to enter the specification of your car and show all the speakers that will fit. I've also been told (although I can't confirm this from my own experience) that Cruthfield supply their speakers with adaptors to fit the MINI, meaning you can unplug the old speakers and plug in the new ones without having to cut the wires.

When you have installed your new speakers I would be interested to know how much they improve the sound.

 

I have DB690's in the rear of my Mini, fit with no problems.

Used an adapter for DB6500 in the front provided by Crutchfield.
