Early build Engine Damper Bracket Available!
Early build Engine Damper Bracket Available!
Prototype bracket received and tested today!
Test fitted it today to an 03 MC with no issues whatsoever. It took five minutes to install.
The final version will have two base plates welded to the two vertical plates. The prototype only had one base plate. It will be plenty strong so no worries with regards to its sturdiness.
I expect to have about 20 or so units made initially. Please contact me at sales@shoe-in.net so that you can order your bracket. They should be available within the next two weeks (shooting for 1 week).
The price will be $35 + $4 shipping/handling (50 states, outside shipping will be more) for the bracket kit.
Bracket will include frame bracket, engine side bracket, two bolts, two nuts, three flat washers, and one bell washer.
Please let me know if you have any questions (
I'm sure I'll get about a zillion e-mails about this).
This bracket is for 2002 BUILD year cars (includes 2002 model year and early 2003 model year cars) that have the extra bit of material on the driver side of the frame bracket that prevents mounting of the damper as per my instructions (as shown below). (I will be updating the instructions shortly). If you are unsure as to whether or not you need this bracket, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at Sales@shoe-in.net.
Below is a list of people who had previously purchased dampers and have expressed interest in the bracket.

Extra Material in 2002 BUILD year cars (2002 and early 2003 model years).

If you have this extra material (Dr. Obnxs cut out the material in the yellow triangle) then you will need this bracket.

Also in the pictures I have posted I have the damper on the OUTSIDE of the engine side bracket. The position of the holes on the "L" bracket will be modified so that you can install the damper on the INSIDE of the bracket as well. Given that many people have come up with their own solutions to mounting the damper without the bracket, I'll leave the option open to install it either way.
Either way in my opinion will work just fine.
