R50/53 Lauderdale MINI dealer???
Lauderdale MINI dealer???
I just want to know who has been to Lauderdale MINI and what kind of experience have you had?
I have a couple of friends that are BMW tech there and one of them told me yesterday that they are looking for a MINI tech to fill an available position. So if you have been there for service, what kind of experience have you had and would you go back?
I'm gonna call the service manager tomorrow and maybe fly out there friday and meet with them on saturday... I hate snow and i love the beach, i hope this works for me

i go to lauderdale, and they are great. My SA is a great guy and seems to always be looking out for me, and always take care of me.
if there is one flaw with lauderdale its that the service center is blocks away from the dealership, which personally when i bring my car in i see it as a nice excuse to look at new minis and bmw's, and at lauderdale its tough to achieve that goal. But they have a nice center atleast, and the service itself is so good i can ignore the flaw of the faraway service center, esp. when for one time i went to another mini dealer with the center and dealership combined and i recieved terrible service.
good luck, your coming to florida at the best time of the year, youll love it, by summer though youll hate it probably as much as you hate the snow

well i was born and raised in Puerto Rico for 13 years, so i'm really used to the hot weather. I have been in Ohio for 13 years and every winter i curse each day i have to go outside at 6 in the morning to scrape the ice off my car...
man i can't wait to move out of here!!!

Lauderdale MINI has been great. Just went in for my 1st service under warranty. Took a few hours 'cuz I had an airbag light, and a couple other minor issues, but they are fixed! And, as promised, they did NOT wash my or my wife's MINIs. I drive 1 hr + out of my way to avoid closer dealerships.
On a side note: we walked over to the showroom during our wait. They actually offered to drive us over! Over at the dealers, I got to talking about how to manually close a ragtop should the battery die. 10 minutes later 3 employees and myself practically had one of the cars in pieces seeing how to do it for ourselves!!!
