Meh. I'm at 33400... However, I am definitely getting a lot more for that amount than I was when I configured an '06. Same price, better features and packages. I'm a bells/whistles kinda guy though, not planning to race it, other than maybe to get to Key West as fast as possible...
Anyone notice the top of the PDF said it's for the 12/06 production group? Hmm! (I'm getting an auto, so I won't be until at least 3/07, but good to know there will be some 07s stateside well before then!
Cooper S: Laser Blue/white top/ stripes (?)
Packages: Premium, Sport, Hypersport, Convenience, and Audio
Plus: Automatic Transmission, Nav System, Rear Fog, Anthracite Headliner, Park Distance
Anyone know what the standard sport seats are like?

small mistake?
Notice that in the Motoring File PDF of "2007 Model Year Suggested Retail Price" that the options are listed out and then they are followed by a code if they are part of a package.
Why doesnt the Comfort Key Access have a ZCV next to it and why does it say Keyless Go Comfort Access in the ZCV package description?
The PDF I uploaded without prices shows 322 Keyless Go Comfort Access in the ZCV package.
I will assume this all means the same thing and that Comfort Key Access is not some other $500 option seperate from the other wording.....

$25500 for me.
Although, I'm confused about the suspension.
'Sport Suspension' is $500
Aero kit is $1300
Hyper sport is $1400. Hyper sport is defined as Aero kit and 'sport suspension plus'. So do I have to have the sport suspension first?
I could drop the comfort key access and the aero kit and get down to $24100.

Yeah I'd really like to know the answer on the suspension question. I'd like to definitely have the most 'sporty' suspension possible from the factory. If it means getting the Hyper Sport package I'll just have to wait for that.
I specced my R56 at $25,300. It includes the Premium Pack, Sport Suspension, LSD, color line, alloy dash, rear fogs, bonnet stripes, and metallic paint. Better than I thought it would have been with those options. If I can ever decide on my final paint selection between Laser/Lightning Blue, and Chili Red, I might be able to knock $450 off the price.
I hadn't initially planned on getting the premium pack, but I wanted the Panoramic Sunroof, and was mildly interested in getting the multi-function steering wheel. At that point, I might as well get the Premium Pack and throw in Auto A/C. I couldn't find the multi-color interior lights, though.

i have to eat my words....maybe
the anthracite headliner is available ($200) but the the "interior surface anthracite " is only on the convertables.....
Outstanding prices for anyone who wants few options - I will be at $23,300: Cooper S, arm rest, DS paint, LSD, rear fog, chrome interior. I will then put on aftermarket wheels, cat-back, coil-overs, CAI and other go-faster bits and end up around $28,000 for one mean MINI.

go fast bits...
within a year, tops.
That aerokit package is a good deal. I wonder if this will be done at the factory or the VDCs?
also I see no mention of interior options like that new mood lighting feature. I wonder if this will be on the first 07s?

Aero different from JCW Aero
I believe Motoringfile stated that the Aero kit in that Hyper Sport package is DIFFERENT from the JCW aero kit. If that's true, noone's seen the Hyper's Aero kit???
I want to get my car a year from now and plan to have most of the parts in the garage before it arrives so it can be upgraded within the first week! The 02 MINI had many upgrades available within 6 months with the pulley mods coming out after a year and reasonably priced ECU maps taking a little longer. Suspension for the new car should not require major reengineering so I expect that to come out much faster and there are lots of experienced turbo tuners who will start work as soon as they can get their hands on cars. None of the established MINI tuners will want to be left out so I expect upgrades to be available much quicker this time.
