Personally I am not a fan of the GP Wheels but for those of you that are I found this

Actually, do you really think MINI really makes these wheels? No, they have a large wheel manufacturer supply the wheels that specified for them, and call them OEM....

 

true max but in the world of manufacturing MINI owns the license to these wheels. anything outside of this would be a knock off because a large corporation like BMW MINI would never work w/ a company that would sell them outside of MINI. which in turn means the wheels in question are knock offs. thus they will not meet the standards and quality inspections that MINI uses. so, if you don't get a clean seal/bead, don't blame MINI. buyer beware, etc

 

Umm......yeah thanks for that bit of knowledge but I already know the relationship btwn OEM and the manufactures the produce parts for them.

I just labeled them 'knock offs' because they are not purchased from Mini.
