In a fight for life, more than 3,700 custom/classic vehicles registered for the 7th Annual Cruisin' For A Cure cruise and show. Cruisin' For A Cure is a non-profit California organization geared to helping men identify Prostate Cancer before it's too late. Unlike many other automotive fundraising events, this event had an on-site medical screening staff that tested more than 940 men who took advantage of a free PSA Test. Statistics show Prostate Cancer will strike over 189,000 men this year alone and over 31,000 will die. Husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers…in many cases it can be caught with regular precautionary checkups.
Over 200 vendors and exhibitors were on display along the mile-and-a-half cruise route. Every thing from classic hotrods, to custom trucks, and from dancing low-riders to exotic sportscars lined the route. At any give time participants could jump in to the cruise route, or check out the action going on throughout the fairgrounds. The custom car community has come together for another great year: More than $279,000 was raised for the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center by Cruisin' For A Cure!
