California Autumn Classic 10/21- 10/22
Please join the REME membership in participating in the 2006 California Autumn Classic in Historic San Juan Bautista. This is the third year that REME has participated in this car show and run. This is one of my favorite non-REME organized events and I hope to see a large showing from our membership.

We now have 6 REME cars registered. Anyone else interested had better get their registration in to the organizer and make hotel reservations if needed.

Last chance to register for the 2006 California Autumn Classic British Sports Car Concours and Tour
Registration ends Oct. 10. Postmark your registration by the 10th.
Because of heavy sign ups for the Saturday dinner, you must send in $16 per person (in addition to your registration) to obtain dinner reservations.
This year we have had over 100 people indicate they wanted dinner reservations on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, Jardens restaurant can only seat 65 people in their party room.
In past years we have noticed that many people request reservations just in case they decide to have dinner at Jardines, but then change their plans and do not show up for their reservation. About 30% don't show. This, of course, makes it very difficult to plan for the dinner and to know how many will actually attend.
Because this year we have received an extremely high number of people requesting dinner reservations, all of whom could not be accommodated if they all showed, we must request that those desiring dinner reservations send in $16 payment per person made payable to Bill Meade. This confirmation and payment must be received by Oct. 16. This payment covers 4 meal choices, tea or coffee, taxes and tip. If you do not send in the meal payment, your request for reservations will have to be deleted.
We have an outstanding number of cars registered this year, including many first time entrants. All are looking forward to a terrific California Autumn Classic Concours and Tour for 2006

REME is planning on having 7 cars in San Juan Bautista this weekend... any other clubs having representation? This is always a fun show and weekend!
