I was not going to go then I am sitting here at the 11-o-clock hour thinking that I would like to make the drive up there for one day.

Question: Can I just show up and buy a ticket there? What is the best day, how much will the ticket cost, do I need a ticket for my passenger, etc? I don't want to drive up there only to be turned away.

 

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. We are now planning on going up as well.

Call their ticket office. You can buy tickets for just a day. They're not sold at the gate though, but through a couple of service stations near the track. The ticket office, SCRAMP in Salinas, can tell you which ones.
