Does the JCW brake kit come with SS lines?

If not, has anybody installed them and was there a noticable difference?

Firmer, more responsive pedal.

Rumor has it that Central Coast Coopers will have four line kits on sale at Monterey if you are headed that direction...

Yep, what Todd said. With stainless lines you get more feel, a firmer pedal, and suchlike. With just the JCW kit without stainless lines, after it was broken in, I felt a more aggressive initial bite and quite a bit sharper braking. How much of that was Hawthorne effect I don't know for certain, but it stands to reason that bigger front disks and more aggressive pads all around would produce that effect.

Oh, yeah, and as someone else noted, I hope you like anthracite wheels. Whatever color your wheels are now, the fronts will be anthracite in a week. As far as I know nobody makes alternative pads for the JCW fronts. If I had realized that when I was shopping I might have made a different decision about the brakes.

Agree on all accounts with the others.

The brake lines and JCW calipers and rotors were among the easiest of things to change on the car.

Prior to doing the full JCW brake upgrade I decided to do a "phased in approached". First I installed SS brake lines and the metal bushings on the calipers. The difference while not dramatic did elminate all the things I didn't like about the stock brakes. Just doing what I did got rid of the soft pedal feel and sortened response times. After completing the job I drove my car to the Nurbergring and had a blast the brakes while not perfect were certainly worth the cost of the improvement. Also I have white wheels so I use EBC Greens, for now I think I have a great set up, the only thing that is preventing me from doing the JCW upgrade is what I have now seems to be a big improvement over stock, way cheaper and keeps my wheels clean. If someone comes out with low residue pads for the JCW brakes I will do the JCW upgrade at that time. I guess I am bit of clean freak!
