It's still hot out here...so we went for a DQ in the Mini...They have one of those drive throughs with a Maximum Vehicle Height sign and bar.
When we got to the Window, the waitress was hysterical laughing (they still do not see that many Minis in Reno (no dealer yet) and told me to watch out for That sign and Height Bar next trip!!!

I've had kids at Micky D's tell me that my car needs a ramp to reach the window. (Jealous of my baby...of course!!)
That is so funny! I think there has been a trend to raising the windows a bit to accomodate the SUVs and minivans. I'm so below the window I just hope I can catch the stuff as they drop it out the window!
I was kind of surprised by everyone commenting on how low the MINI is. I have been trying to get use to how high the seating position is ( I've had my MCS for a month). I had been driving a 1988 Honda Civic for the previous 18 years. The seating position on the MINI is 2 1/2 inches higher, which feels uncomfortably high to me.
They are gradually making all cars with higher seating positions because the general public seems to like this, I suppose in order to be somewhat on a level with all the enormous SUVs. I plan on staying in a low car and eventually all the other cars will be so high that I will be able to see underneath them.

What really makes the MINI feel low is getting in it after a 4-hour horseback ride! Did that on vacation in Colorado earlier this month.....I felt like I was crawling on the ground! Ya gotta love the MINI!!!

Our Mini's aren't really much lower compared w/ other cars that I've seen. But when you go from driving a suv to a Mini...there is a BIG difference in height levels whenever you pull up to a drive-in window. But the really BIG difference is People telling me that my Mini is cute!!! Pardon me, but my Ego is swelling!!! Heh, heh!!!

Of course, with my MINI, I first hit "low vehicle" and then I have to hit the "fine tune" buttons down a bit more to go even lower... but it works.
