5 days solo road trip in BC - Attack of the twisties!

To celebrate my MINI’s 1 year birthday on July 1st, 2006, I planned a 5 day road trip to BC. Ok, maybe it wasn’t because of the MINI, but I really wanted to meet a friend of mine in BC, go take some nice pictures and drive on all those awesome twisty roads I kept hearing about. So with school finished and $500 in my pocket, off I went.

I had a time of my life, and hopefully, more of you MINI drivers will enjoy these same roads as I did

Nice shots!

Great to see a fellow motorer enjoying the open road.
Liked the mountain shots, trees and water scenes.
Haven't got through the whole trip yet.
Nice job.
P.S. good looking MINI you got there.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I don't think the photography deserves a "", unlike your pictures Dave, they are truly awesome!

I live too far to go down to the Dragon, but I guess some of these mountain roads in BC are right up there in terms of fun factor too. This trip was too much fun, now I can't go 5 minutes without thinking about when I could do it again!

Great diary and photos. My wife and I took a trip to Western Canada in 2002...Flew to Seattle and drove to Nelson, Calgary, Banff, and Vancouver. Vancouver was the spot where I saw my first MINIs, and decided it would be my next car. A year later I had an DS/B '03 MCS, which now has 55K miles on it. Looking back, the only bad part of the trip was driving 1820 miles in a Buick instead of a MINI!
