I'm looking for a "cargo" net that will cover the rear opening so that when I open the hatch door everything doesn't roll out in the street. It would also serve as a catch for anything (pets?) that might fall out if the hatch door accidently opens while going down the road.

What do you keep in the back, rolls of toilet paper???

I use two bungie cords to keep bulky things from moving around in the boot area.
The four hooks in the boot really come in handy.

I have the Mini "cargo net. It is great for keeping things stationary while driving. It stops my junk from rattling around too. Did you really mention that you wer wanting something to keep your pets from flying out of the car "in case the boot accidentally opens" while driving?

 

The netting I'm looking for goes over the back opening (about halfway up from the sill) so that if the hatch door should accidently come unlatched (for whatever reason) stuff won't go out the back end, like one of the dogs. I've seen them on many other hatchback vehicles, I was wondeering if anyone had seen one for the Mini. I once, some time ago, had a rear hatch come unlocked and almost lost one of the pooches. Fortunately I noticed it in time and pulled over before he went out the back end
