PDX MINI at the 30 Annual Portland Historics

This is a reminder post, regarding the 30th Annual Portland Historic Races
To all those interested: Payments must be received by May 26th!
Instructions for payments are below.
The 30th Annual Portland Historic Races are a Northwest tradition that offers fun for the entire family. This is THE track related event that PDX MINI participates in to the fullest. It’s a truly Portland institution, and this event allows us to have a really great time together! The Portland Historic Races have been around for almost three decades and this event has matured into one of the premier events of the Rose Festival. It is a gathering of vintage and classic racing machinery from the 1950's through the 1970's, running wheel to wheel events in specific classes at Portland International Raceway. There’s plenty to do. You can watch the races, walk through the collector car display area, where more than 700 collector cars and classics will be shown. More on that below. This year's featured display and racing event will be a celebration of the Ford Mustang and 50 years of Allard.

So where does PDX MINI come in?
Virtually all the Sports Car Clubs in Northwest Oregon gather their machinery in separate and adjoining “corrals.” This allows us to display our MINIs, promote our club, share war stories with people with our own motoring interests, and actually drive a speedy parade lap around PIR, both on Saturday and Sunday. Again this year the event organizers are staging an Autocross at $5.00 per run with all proceeds going to the Children's Cancer Association. Trophies will be awarded for the top three finishers overall, the fastest club, and the club with the highest donations. Please check the event website for the details.
Your $40.00 entry fee includes a two day admission ticket for the driver and a guest, one car corral pass, a dash plaque, and the ever-popular parade laps. Additional guest passes are available for $25.00 for both days. Each club must register as a collective group and no corral passes will be distributed on-site.
