New "2004" Audi TT 3.2L DSG S-Line

Just picked up a brand new 2004 Audi TT 3.2L (250 hp) DSG S-Line Quattro (US spec) today from my local US spec Audi dealer. They got their hands on that car, plus two brand new black 2005 225 hp 6-speed TT quattro's (coupe and roadster). Both gorgeous, but no V-6 and no DSG.

My car only has 102 miles on the clock (mostly from me ) at the moment, Dolomite Gray Pearl finish (dark metallic gray essentially), black napa leather interior, Bose sound system package, and 5 yr/50K bumper-to-bumper warranty upgrade (from 4 yr/50K limited warranty). After a lot of disagreeing, we agreed on $34K out the door. Price in 2004 was $44K plus tax with the 5 yr/50K bumper-to-bumper warranty. Fair deal...they didn't give it away. After all, it has depreciated these past 2 years. But it's nice having a new 2 year old car with a full factory warranty through 2011, and next to no miles on the clock. They also threw in a 1:18 scale model Audi R8 at my request...cool. Oh, and DSG is a pure blast! Quickest shifting car I've ever driven...especially down shifts. Can't wait to take it to Nurburgring and get it out on the North loop. Engine noise is pure heaven too, although I'm keeping the rpms down until the 600 mile break-in period expires.

Heading to Monaco next Friday for mostly a week for a much-needed vacation, and in two weeks, I'll be at the Nurburgring for the F1 event, sitting right across from the pit lane exit. Cars will be pushing past at over 300 kph at that point, heading toward turn 1.

Life is OK, I think...

Cheers!

Go Schu at Imola!!!

let me put it this way:

1. You have an Audi TT 3.2 DSG
2. You got a fairly good deal
3. You are going on a vacation in Monaco
4. You will be in the Ring in a couple of weeks

Your life should be more than OK.

enjoy yourself

Ferrari needs to overcome the tire issue, and get the ICEMAN IMHO
