IceLink Plus w/HK & NAV?

Guys,
I’ve done some searches and I’m now more confused than before. So I was hoping someone could answer my few questions regarding IceLink Plus with a 2005 MCS with H/K radio and Nav – manufactured 08/05

1a) Can IceLink Plus display ID tags on the Nav screen? Can the Nav screen act as the Ipod display (i.e: search through playlists, genres, artists, etc ….) If so, is the Nav still 100% functional?

1b) Does IceLink Plus display ID tag on the stock head unit?

2) I see that the Ipod’s display changes when using IceLink Plus. Is this a permanent change to the Ipod or does the display go back to the Apple’s setting while not connected to IceLink?

3) Can I still use the Ipod’s click wheel to search through tracks while the Ipod’s connected to IceLink Plus. Or is the only way to search is via the radio / steering wheel controls?

4) I have the new 30G video Ipod (I think it’s a 5th generation, not sure though), will this work with IceLink Plus

5) Does anyone know the IceLink Plus part number? I think it’s BMW I20-BMW-R40 but I’m not 100% sure. Can someone confirm

I think that’s it for now …

Thanks again!!

Greetings Peepers,
Please take a look at one of my previous posts about Nav functionality and the Dension ice-link:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...5&postcount=23

By default, id3 tag display is on the H/U and the Nav screen. This is suppose to be fixed in a new Dension H/W release due shortly (no ETA).

iPlod's display changes only when connected to the ice-link, then back to the normal UI when disconnected.

No click wheel control on ipob while id3 tags are displayed on H/U & Nav screen. Who cares, use the MFSW controls instead as they work very well IMHO.

I've always ordered directly from Dension and never bothered with the part #s; I want to be sure I get exactly the right thing before I have 1/2 my interior torn out (CD changer model) and discover something is wrong (i.e. iDIOts @ BarfBuy! ).

Cheers!

This is one of the most impossible things

ID tags are hard for companies like Dension and Blizsafe, and the Best Buy people really don't help the problem due to the fact they show more interest in cheaper, rice cars
