I'm trying to get info on AMVIV Departure times for most of the different groups that are leaving, and put them all in 1 place. I'll edit this post with the latest departure info as I get them. If anyone has solid information on departure times for your groups please post here.

In the meantime I'm going to rummage through all the boards to get departure info.

 

m|u peeps are leaving a few different times.

I am going to try to head-up with WCM on Thursday at 10:00 (location - 76 and 15).

Other m|u people are having a caravan Friday morning. Leaving Ontario then stopping in Victorville. Time TBD.

Good idea Matt putting this together.

 

As I understand it the Norcal group is meeting Thursday w/ some Socal folks in Bishop? You may want to contact Larry with Norcal MINIs to see who they're working with...

 

I live in Victorville!! M|U will be stoping near my house to head the rest of the way up.

West Coast MINIs (San Diego) are planning to leave the 15/76 (Escondido) at 10AM, arriving in Barstow a little before noon. Wave if you see us, or join the convoy if you're solo. Viva Las Vegas!

 

Some SCMM members will be meeting Thursday:

1) @ the Krispy Kremes in Ontario Mills (I-15) at 11AM.
2) We'll then take the I-15 N - approx 90mins to Barstow (exit 178 - Lenwood Road - first right into the service area near the Denny's) to meet up with NorCal, MidCal, and SoCal MINI groups.
3) Refuel & Lunch.
4) Departure time from Barstow to Vegas is 2PM.

C3 Club will also have members leaving on Thursday morning. We are attempting to hook up with WCM somewhere in Ontario (I think) not 100% sure of times but all are welcome.

I live in the Whittier area and anyone interested in joining us in a caravan is more than welcome. PM me if you need more information and address to meet up in Whittier prior to departure for Vegas. Don't forget to bring your 2-way radios (fully charged) and be ready to have a great weekend!

M|U is leaving Ontario at 6am on Friday morning. Then stoping in Victorville for a few mins, then heading up to LV

 

C3 definite plans: Thursday morning depart by 12:15 for Ontario Mills. Be at Ontario Mills by 1pm. Leave for LV by 1:30pm

Well, depending on when I can rescue my BB from the bodyshop , I will be meeting with fellow SCMMers at 11am...or perhaps I'll tag along with C3...whatever the case...it's In-N-Out in Vegas baby!!

There is road construction going on just after Barstow. The highway is being repaved one lane at a time. The back-up was about 30 miles. It took us almost an hour to get past it. So, make sure you stop and take a Bio break before you hit it.

 

You should've seen AMVIV 1!
MAJOR TRAFFIC JAM on the I-5! There was a big wreck, on top of road work. It set back Vegas-bound travelers nearly 3hrs!

30-mile backup? Ha!

Gives other drivers more time to check out our MINIs!

Yet another good reason to cruise up via the back roads! Three of us, two MINIs and one proper Mini are heading up from San Diego/Escondido via 29 Palms, Amboy, Kelso, and Cima. No services of any kind for 140 miles, but interesting route, no traffic, and fewer cops (the whoop-te-dos near Kelso are lots of fun at 'speed'). We'll probably be in 29 Palms about 1 pm, anyone else going that way then give a call on 7/21.

That is a fun route, Andrew! My sister lives in Bullhead City, AZ, and I've come home that route.

 

Man, I am so torn, but I really have to be somewhere else. Ya'll fly low and avoid the radar.

Eastbound 10 is closed at 605 Frwy. due to overturned big rig.
Just saw this on news. Should be closed for a couple of hours.

 

Leaving San Diego area in one hour 15 min.
