I saw the_beastmaster talking about this last night on bf.c first but you may have seen this (click link on left) on the news. Air ambulance crashed into the lot of the Maui BMW dealer's lot - BMWs in flames! Lucky no one was hurt on the ground but three in the plane died.

I saw this on the news last night. I am from Maui so I am going to ask some friend about it. I wonder what the cause of the crash was.

the_beastmaster (Bryan), our BMWCCA of Hawaii Pres., knows a lot of Maui BMW folks so maybe he can chime-in with additional information.

 

We were doing some flight training there last night and saw all the emergency vehicles there. They closed the airport for 30-45 min last night. I think the fire was already out. Sad for the rest of the Aeromed crew though.

I heard about it maybe 30 minutes after the plane crashed. One of our members on Maui that used to work at the dealership called our DEC asking if I knew anything about the crash. All I heard from Owen was that he was told the plane crashed into the dealership and that the Acura dealership also had some damage.

Another Maui member e-mailed me and said his car was at the dealership and wasn't sure if it got damaged. The dealership was supposed to be closed until Monday. he gave me the rundown on the damage on the cars and said hs car was unharmed.
