My MINI is on the boat

Hi all,

I have a 2003 MCS LY/B completely stock. I have been living in Germany for the past 7 years and I am moving to Newport News, VA 29 March, 2006. My MINI is now on the boat being shipped back to VA and will arrive a day before I step foot back on American soil.

I am in the military living in Germany now and have served in many countries and on many Operations, my latest... Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Balad AB, Iraq (Aug - Sep 2005). I do love my job, and stand for everything we do in the military, and the MINI has made it better. I just can't get enough MOTORING in during a busy week. I originally picked up my car on 18Nov2003, and I have 17,500 miles on it. This tells you how long I have been away from the MINI and serving our country.
I can't tell you how much this site means to me. The threads are endless, and I do take most of then as informative. I don't know what I would do without a site like this. I have learned a lot from all of you all, and will continue to. I just want my MINI back.
So, in closing, I have traveled many a roads in Europe, but I don't think my MINI will see another Auotubon again

Thank you all for all the great "how to's"

Here is wishing you a safe journey back to the states, Kramseib! How cool to be able to drive your Mini "auf der Autobahn mit geschwindigkeit!" My family was stationed in both Zweibrucken and Kaiserslautern (dad in the Air Force), and I'll bet he would have loved to have had access to a Mini during his tours! It would be interesting to hear how the Germans responded to a Mini on the motorway and if you will now have to "unlearn" your autobahn habits!!

Yes, Welcome Home to both you and your MINI. I'm sure it will be great to be back, motoring around VA!

Thank you very, very much for your service in the military and welcome home to you and MINI.

I lived in Virginia for five years in the 80's. Nicest place I have ever lived...wish my job would have allowed me to stay there.

Post often.
