Its almost here

Well I am about 2-3 weeks from picking up my MINI, I cant believe the wait is almost over, I am really starting to loose sleep from anticipation. With that I was wondering if you all could help me out with some last min. decisions.

First off with all the added warranties and maintenance extensions, are they worth it?
Any last min. accessories the dealer can install?

I cant thank all of you enough for the help and support during my wait.

Thanks

How about wait till the car is close to being out of warranty to buy the extended warranty? Hope that your dealer offers free floormats.

Be sure to ask for the floormats.

They might not offer, but will usually give them to you if you ask.

I wouldn't go near any extended warranties or insurance policies.

Delivery time is the time to get all the little extras you want like cargo nets/mats etc. If you can't get'em free, you'll probably at least get them at cost.

As to dealer installed accessories, the service dept might not be willing to do it at a discount. We did a Union Jack roof decal ourselves and I installed PIAA driving lamps myself. The dealer wanted really insane money for these items w/ labor.

I'm not cheap, I just don't like to pay others for things I can do myself.

Maybe I am cheap.

Stay away from all extended warranties and dealer installed items. Almost always grossly overpriced.
