Golfman, I spoke with Stephen of Stephens Garage today about some work and mentioned the time we had a Garage day event at his place. He said we should do that again. He did say give him some time to clean up a bit. I would think a few from RCM would be interested in this event. And since now for sure, a lot of MINI's are running out of warranty, it may be more helpful now than ever.

If there would be some interest from the Birmingham group, maybe we can do this event again. We're trying to do things on Sunday more this year as most peoples schedules are busy on Saturday. Are Sundays good days in Birmingham? Whichever day is good, if the event is desired, let me know and I'll get the word out up here.

For those that are not aware of the Garage Day we had. Stephen invited us to his garage to show us how to perform work on our MINI's such as changing oil, tires, and I do believe he did one oil change. It was a fun and informative event.

 

I think Stephen should do your pully for all to see. If everyone remembers I took pictures of him doing mine but you really need to see it in person. So maybe your car could be the one up on the rack.

If we can't get a garage day up at stephens garage then maybe I can do a oil changing day and show everyone how to do oil changes,brake pads,spark plugs, coil pack upgrade, radio upgrades, and so on.

YES I DO IT ALL myself but left the pully to Stephen's Garage.

Since I was a so called newbie at the time , I would love to go either place and learn more about, hands on repairs and upgrades. Set and date and time, and lets make it. Tech Day II.

 

I am due an oil change so we will have to see what day and time is good for Stephen. I would hate to ask him to do it on a Sunday. I will check with him and see what morning is good to try to do it again. She also showed one of the ladies there how to change her tyre in the event of a flat(MC).
