I am looking to borrow or buy a pulley removal tool for an install I will be doing in the coming weeks. If anyone has anything please email me, thanks.
I am not sure exactly what is needed due to the phrasing of the question. As I read, it appears that you want to remove a 15% pulley (perhaps to install a 17 or 19%)? If so, most of the aftermarket two-piece pulleys have their own built-in 'uninstall' method that usually involves removing all the the clamping screws from the pulley then reinstalling two of them into an opposing pair of threaded holes (not the mounting holes). Alternately tightening these screws will separate the pulley from the hub thereby 'unclamping' it and allowing it to be removed by hand. Check the directions that came with your particular pulley. Since an aftermarket (and a JCW pulley for that matter) are smaller in diameter, traditional pullers will not work (due to the size in the case of the JCW, and the pulley construction in the case of aftermarket).
Now, if you were looking to remove a standard pulley in preparation for a 15 percenter, disregard the above. Post your location to see who lives close by and can help out.
