Aftermarket HU w/HK

is it possible, what is the compatibility? how about the steering wheel controls. Here is the deal, i want an Alpine headunit w/DVD player installed, but i have the HK and steering controls, don't want to compremise from the sound and practicality. Thanks for the input

Yes, check out "HKenabler" on my web site, available from NewMINIstuff following the link above. For example:

NewMINIstuff "packages" the HKenabler with adaptor connectors to go from MINI to aftermarket, making the install pretty simple - they sell fascia & antenna adaptors as well. If you want to still use the MFSW controls, you might check out their adaptors for that too!
Although NewMINIstuff is UK based, they are #1 excellent for MINI stereo stuff, reliable and recommended - and the only place to get the HKenabler
