man that sucks, I had mine laying in the garage forever after I relocated my battery box and I finally threw it in the dumpster last weekend. I do have a parts car but I will have to check if it still has that part. Your are referring to the big aluminum foil type piece correct ?

After I installed my Remus exhaust, I painted mine with about 10 coats of engine black paint. It has held up quite nice.

 

A heat shield maybe?
