Phil Wicks at Las Vegas Superspeedway for AMVIV

We are trying to work out our schedule to make it out from Tennessee for Phil's school at Las Vegas Superspeedway. Who's planning on doing the school, who's thinking about it?

Yes, ma'am. Still have all the MINIs and Minis though.
The Mad Apple was an opportunity that came up so we took it. We may have it around at the Dragon some. I see you have something new coming too. The family that MINIs together stays together.
You going to Vegas?

School? Who like school?!

I'll be there instructing . Hope you can make it out QueenB. If you need a driver for the Lotus, let me know. I could probably bring myself to driving it if I had to .

HEY NOW!! I don't even let myself drive the Lotus.
I can't get that thing figured out........the drive wheels are on the wrong end of the car.

We're going to have to do the fly and rent thing if we make it to Vegas as we are planning on Sebring, with cars, the weekend after. No Casper, no Mad Apple and no GTHOOTW (David's car).

So, how big is this track? Can it hold us all three, ya think?

It's a MINI Vacation in Vegas, not a Lotus Vacation in Vegas.

How long is your drive?

That sounds cool Waylen. I hope I can make it. David is an almost positive. Maybe I can win the award for most abuse of a rental car.

It would be good to see you guys.

So with Willum we are up to seven now!!

Rental Cars

As always, rental cars are the fastest cars on the track

But I miss my tires

and my wheels

and my sway bar

and my springs

and my chequers........chequers are always faster.

Oh yeah, and my instructor in the rear window, bobbling his head up and down for YES and side to side for NO.

So bring all those parts with you. Check them, put them on the rental MINI for the track day, take them off when you're done and take them home again. Maybe not the chequers though.

Well, actually, I can bring my chequers. They are all off of Casper as of today.

Hmmmm, so wonder what all my MINI goodies weigh?
"Excuse me ma'am, but your luggage is overweight."

You could always have them shipped here before the weekend, then ship them back before you leave. You can ship to my house if you need to.

LVMS inside road course

Here is a quick map of the inside road course that Phil will be teaching on. He will also be running his racing series on the same course.

I thought Phil was running the race series on the outside course and having the driving school on the inside course.

That's what we originally thought too, but no. The qualifying and race sessions are acting as just another group in the school.

Nope, he will be running one race car practice first thing followed by three group runs, advanced, intermediate and novice, then another race practice. and then a couple more rotations of school groups. By lunch time, race qualifing will take place. After that, several more school run group rotations and at the end of his school agenda will be the race.
